Anne Lynch, Director

I am originally from Greenville, SC, where I went to college at Furman University and graduated in Early Childhood Education. I have taught elementary grades and preschool for 12 years in both SC and NC. This is my 6th year at Providence. I have also worked as a teacher to special needs children at a pediatric rehabilitation facility. Previous to my job as Director here, I taught 4K at a church preschool in Mt. Pleasant. While I am not at school, I love to play with my sons, ages 15 and 13; read; cook; and do anything that takes me outside! I also love to travel.  My 15 year old is on the high-functioning end of the Autism spectrum.  He has his share of challenges both at school and in social situations but is a unique and special soul.  He and his brother are the apples of my eye!  As a member of Providence Church, my vision for PCP is that it will continue being a program that lovingly encourages and teaches children in the tender years before Kindergarten and that fills them with God’s love. I look forward to getting to know all of the wonderful PCP families this coming year!

Janet Tinkel, 5 day Fours Lead Teacher

I am so blessed to be able to teach at PCP. My belief is that each child is special and unique with various talents and skills. My goal is to help develop each child’s individuality by providing them with a fun, positive and nurturing environment!

Prior to PCP I taught Pre-K at a private preschool in Pennsylvania for nine years. I also have previous experience with the three-year-old program and kindergarten as well. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. My membership with The National Association of Education for Young Children (naeyc) is currently in excellent standing. I am passionate about my job and want to foster a love of learning in all my students.

My husband, Scott, and I moved to Daniel Island in July 2016. We really enjoy living here and are comfortable calling it home. We have two grown children who are such joys in my life. In my spare time I enjoy being outside hiking or bike riding. I also enjoy traveling whenever I can, reading and spending time at the beach!

I appreciate everyone trusting me with their most precious gift…their children. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
